MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla reached Ajnala Government Hospital today for surprise inspection. MP Aujla got angry after knowing the condition of patients yearning for doctors and cursed the government. MP Aujla said that the government’s health services are running only in advertisements while health services have completely stopped at the ground level.
MP Gurjit Singh Aujla said that when he was leaving Ajnala, he stopped after seeing the people. When he reached near the hospital, people were very upset without a doctor. After which he went inside the hospital for checking and found that more than half the doctors were not at their seats and people were roaming around with slips since morning.
It was difficult to stand in the hospital bathrooms because of the foul smell, due to which MP Aujla opposed the government and said that the government is only praising itself in advertisements, fooling people by showing mohalla clinics, while all the facilities are stalled at the ground level.
MP Aujla said that even if one or two patients complain, it can be believed, but all the patients are complaining the same thing that there are no doctors, X-rays are not being done and tests are also being done from outside.
He said that everything is going on in connivance with the civil surgeon and the SMO, while if there is any kind of problem, they can contact them, but people are not being given facilities. He said that the entire hospital is lying vacant and people are forced to get treatment in private hospitals.
MP Aujla said that he will visit the hospital again on October 10 at 11 am during which the Civil Surgeon, SMO and all the doctors of the hospital should be present. He also invited people to come to him with their problems on that day. MP Aujla said that he will also listen to the problems of the doctors and solve them.
