In order to facilitate the common people in their daily registration of deeds and other revenue related works and eradicate the corruption in revenue offices, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) district is going to lead the state by introducing Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s path breaking initiatives in the coming month, said the Additional Chief Secretary cum Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Sh. Anurag Verma, here, today.
Visiting the Sub Registrar Office of Mohali situated at District Administrative Complex, Mr Verma said that the project is being initiated on pilot basis in Mohali district before launching statewide.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister is keen to make the revolutionary improvements in the revenue work across the state by making it less cumbersome and people friendly thereby to eradicate the corruption.
He said that soon the state government would also going to start generation of digitally signed Farad on the WhatsApp of the applicants. For this, a Beta Vesrsion of the application has been launched on website wherer one can apply for this digitally signed Farad after paying the online fee.
He said that in an average the state generates 40 lakh fardas in a year and we hope after the formal launch of this digitally signed Farad system, there will be no need to to go to Farad Kendras for getting Farad and it will be helpful to speed up the work of farad generation. He said that a QR Code on Digitally Signed Farad will be available to ascertain the genuineness of the Farad.
Besides, online module for entering Mutation and Revenue Rapat (Report) is also in testing mode on website of Revenue Department. He made appeal to the general public to go to the website and use these beta versions for generating Farad, entering Mutation and Rapat on their own.
He said that the visit is aimed on assessing the requirements need for making changes on ground. The AnyWhere Registration will be a path breaking decision of Punjab Government in the state starting from Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, added ACS Anurag Verma.
During his visit to Kharar Sub Registrar Office, the Additional Chief Secretary cum Financial Commissioner (Revenue) interacted with the persons who were present there for deed registration and asked them whether they have been overcharged or have to pay any bribe to anyone.
Additional Chief Secretary also visited Zirakpur and Derabassi Sub Registrar Offices and interacted with the locals present there for registration related works.
Additional Chief Secretary cum Financial Commissioner (Revenue) was accompanied by Secretary, Revenue and Rehabilitation, Punjab, Mrs Sonali Giri, Deputy Commissioner Mrs Komal Mittal and other officals.
