The Punjab BJP President, Ashwani Sharma on Sunday hit back at the Former Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh regarding his statement on freezing of the Dearness Allowance of the Central Govt. employees. Mr. Singh had described the step as unnecessary.
Ashwani Sharma said that the Former Prime Minister seems to have forgotten his own statement that ‘Money do not grow on trees.’ Notably, this statement was given by Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister when the economy as claimed by the Congress was better. Sharma said that such rhetoric of misleading the public like Manmohan Singh does not suit.
Ashwani Sharma said that Manmohan Singh should review the effectiveness of the states in which Congress governments are in place before questioning the decision of the Center.
Sharma said that Captain Amarinder Singh’s government of Punjab Congress, after July 2018, employees of Punjab government No D.A. Sharma said that the Modi government of the Center had given the 7th pay commission to the central employees from July 1, 2016, while the Punjab government has not yet announced the sixth pay commission.

The whole world is appreciating the steps taken by India in tackling this medical emergency he added.
The BJP President further clarified that the freeze is temporary and it should be noted that such measures are not unprecedented. Sharma said that this lock-down is temporary and in this emergency, Congress should leave its negative politics and play the role of positive opposition and fight unitedly to defeat this epidemic.
