The Punjab Government has transferred Mansa Senior Superintendent of Police Bhagirath Singh Meena and posted him as AIG, Personnel-1, at the Central Police Office (CPO), Punjab.
Meena is a 2013-batch direct-recruit IPS officer.
He will replace IPS officer Suhail Qasim Mir as AIG, Personnel-1. Mir has, in turn, been given a field assignment as SSP Bathinda.
Following Meena’s transfer from Mansa, IPS officer Vaibhav Choudhary has been appointed the district’s new SSP.
The change is part of the latest postings and transfers of eight IPS officers ordered by the Punjab Government.
The officers have been asked to take charge of their new assignments immediately.
