Manjinder Singh Sirsa strongly opposes banning religious symbols for exams in Haryana

New Delhi, September 4, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President and Akali Dal National Spokesman Manjinder Singh Sirsa has strongly opposed ban on carrying religious symbols by Haryana Government for HPSC examinations.

In a statement issued here today Mr. Sirsa expressed surprise that Haryana Govt has issued a dictatorial order for HPSC candidates (Sept 12 exam) where they are strictly forbidden to wear any religious symbols.

He said that this order is unconstitutional and against Sikh symbols like Kadha & Sri Sahib which Amritdhari Sikhs wear all the time.

He said that Sikhs are already waging a legal battle over wearing religious symbols in different exams in the country and this order issued by the Haryana Government is totally unconstitutional and an order out of mind.
