Manish Tewari bats for RTO at Ropar

Sri Anandpur Sahab MP Manish Tewari has demanded setting up a Regional Transport Office in Ropar to cater to the needs of the people living in different areas across the parliamentary constituency.

He said, right now the RTO Office was located in Mohali and people had to travel long distances for various things like issuing of the driving licence, registration of their vehicles and other transport related issues.

Responding to the demands of the people of his parliamentary constituency from Ropar, Nangal, Sri Anandpur Sahab and Chamkaur Sahab, Tewari urged the Punjab Transport Minister Ms Razia Sultana to consider the demand on priority basis. The MP also spoke to the minister to press for the matter.

Meanwhile, talking to reporters after attending a public meeting here today, Tewari alleged that the BJP led NDA government was not only sabotaging the democratic institutions, but was blatantly and unabashedly trying to destabilise the democratically elected governments in the states like in Karnataka. He said, this was reflective of their aversion to the opposition.

The senior Congress leader also expressed concern over the rising incidents of mob violence in the name of religion. He appreciated the concern voiced by prominent citizens of the country to draw attention of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

He hoped that the Prime Minister will take note of the situation and initiate suitable corrective action.

Among others, Sukhwinder Singh Whiskey, Amarjit Saini, Pammi Soni MC, Ashok Wahi MC, Sukhwinder Singh Charriya, Jagdish kajla, Vijay Sharma Tinku, Shiv Dyal, Nirmal Singh, Amrjit Jolly MC, Sanjay Verma, Sandeep Joshi MC,.Saleem Kumar MC, Gurmeet Singh MC, Satinder Nagi, Rajeshwar Lally, Amarjit singh Bhullar were also present.
