Man jumps to death from 10th floor of AIIMS, case registered on the basis of suicide note

New Delhi, March 3, 2020 –

A 48-year-old man jumped to death from the tenth floor of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

The incident happened on Monday. The man has been identified as Vipin Sahu.

Though the police has not yet said anything, but it appears to be a case of suicide.

Vipin’s body has been sent for post-mortem at AIIMS.

According to the police, some medicines have been found from the spot from where he jumped.

According to reports, Vipin worked at a chemist shop in Delhi’s South Extension.

Vipin has left a suicide note in which he has named his chemist shop owner and blamed him for allegedly torturing him, the police said. Delhi Police is investigating into this. The owner of the chemist shop is absconding after the incident.

According to the police, Vipin came to AIIMS twice on Monday – first at 11.30 a.m. and then at 12.30 p.m. as per the entry in the register.

Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.  (Agency)
