While clarifying the air about the rumours being spread by Akali Dal Badal regarding rejoining of Jathedar Ranjit Singh Brahmpura and S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa in the Akali Dal Badal, both the leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) has issued a joint statement stating that Sukhbir Singh Badal should stop dreaming of their return.
While launching a scathing attack on Sukhbir Badal, both Jathedar Ranjit Singh Brahmpura and S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that never in their lifetime they will even think of returning with Badals.
Both the leaders said that anyone living with sheer arrogance never yields anything positive and because of this arrogance only Sukhbir Badal had already paid the price in the Assembly elections of 2017 and even in the upcoming elections of 2022 too he would be taught a good lesson by the people of the state.
“The money looted by Sukhbir Badal through sand, transport, liquor, cable and drug mafia is being used to oppress the people’s voice to which the people should give a firm answer,” said both the Panthic leaders.
Jathedar Brahmpura and S. Dhindsa said that they have always strictly adhered to the principles of Akali Dal and will continue to do so.
“We would not enter into any agreement with the Badals till our last breath. If we had to compromise, why would we leave them? added both the Panthic leaders.
They said that out of fear of the protests going at various places in Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal on the one hand is calling himself farmer-friendly, while on the other is trying to threaten the protesting farmers.
Both the Jathedar Brahmpura and S. Dhindsa have urged the leaders and workers of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) to remain aware of the false rumours being spread by the Badals about their return.
They said that by spreading such rumours the real character of the Badals has been exposed especially by youth, through social media to the entire world.
“In the current predicament of the Akali Dal, Sukhbir Badal’s condition is like that of a lumberjack who is cutting down the very branch on which he is sitting”, said both the leaders.
The person who is responsible for creating fractions in Akali Dal is none other than the corporator Sukhbir Singh Badal himself and there is no question of any association with such an anti-Panth unprincipled, arrogant man said S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Jathedar Brahmpura.
The two leaders also challenged Sukhbir Singh Badal to have an open debate on a common platform.
S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that 100 years old organization of martyrs Shiromani Akali Dal has a glorious history. There was a time when the Akali Dal had a majority of leaders who made sacrifices and upheld principles but since Sukhbir Singh Badal became the president of the Akali Dal it has started running the party like a private company.
He said that the arbitrariness, bullying and dictatorial attitude of Sukhbir Badal had brought the party to such a low point that the Shiromani Akali Dal, which was once used to be a dominant party in Punjab, did not even get a chance to sit even in the Opposition.
The loss that Punjab has suffered due to the incapability of Sukhbir Singh Badal for not being able to identify the perpetrators of the desecration of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, not disclosing the reality of Behbal Kalan shooting to the public, transport, sand, liquor and cable mafia etc will have to be borne by many generations of Punjabis, he added.
“At one time Parkash Singh Badal, Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Sukhbir Badal themselves were all praises for three agricultural laws, but the moment farmers started protesting against these laws, these three leaders while taking an immediate u-turn started shedding crocodile tears to befool the people of the state but Punjab is well aware of these cheap tactics adopted by the Badal family,” asserted Jathedar Ranjit Singh Brahmpura.
