Khalsa College Hosts ‘Teacher of The Year Punjab Award-2024’ Program

‘Teacher of the Year of Punjab Award-2024’ program was organized today at Khalsa College of Education G. T. Road. The program was organized with the support of Khalsa Global Reach Foundation (US).

About 40 teachers from all over Punjab had sent applications for the said award program, out of which 10 teachers were selected and given a special invitation in this regard.

During this program, Narinder Singh was awarded the ‘Best Teacher’ award, in which he was given a certificate of honor and a cash prize of Rs. One lakh. While Dr. Harbhajan Priyadarshi was awarded a prize money of Rs. 25000/- and Rupinderjit Kaur was awarded a prize money of Rs. 15000/- and a certificate of appreciation.

During the inauguration of this program, the Registrar of the University, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the chief guests by presenting them with a bouquet of flowers.

He discussed the increasing responsibility and role of teachers in the present technological era and congratulated all the teachers on being nominated for the said award. On this occasion, he thanked the leaders of Global Reach Foundation, for this initiative and said that teachers are the builders of the nation.

On this occasion, the Academic Dean of the University, Dr. Surinder Kaur said that it is the teachers who recognize the abilities of the students and show them a new path and the unique efforts being made by the teachers who have arrived here today are commendable.

On this occasion, Reach Foundation Coordinator Sarabjit Singh informed that during the program, Head Teacher of Government Primary School, Jandiali, Ludhiana, Narinder Singh was awarded the Best Teacher Award, in which he was given a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh.

Whereas, Hindi Lecturer Dr. Haribhajan Priyadarshi from Government Kanya Senior Secondary School, Malout was awarded Rs. 25000/- and Science Mistress Rupinderjit Kaur from Government High School, Safuwala, Moga was awarded a prize money of Rs. 15000/- and a certificate of appreciation.

He said that during this, E. T. T. Teacher Munazza Irshad from Government Primary School, Bhandal Dona was awarded the Punjabi Bhasha Ratna Award for her efforts for the spread of Punjabi language, under which a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of Rs. 25000/- were given.

Dr. Sarabjit Singh said that special honors were given to the teachers Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Palwinder Kaur, Amanpreet Singh, Chinu Agarwal, Harpreet Kaur, Dr. Poonam Gupta, Gutinder Kaur, Gurpreet Singh and Daljit Kaur.

On this occasion, Joint Secretary of the Governing Council Gurpreet Singh Gill, Examination Controller of the University, Dean Dr. Kanwaljit Singh, Principal of Khalsa College Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa, Former Principal of the College Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Khalsa College International Public School, Ranjit Avenue Principal Nirmaljit Kaur Gill, Foundation Member Nirlep Kaur attended as special guests. On this occasion, Vice Principal and Program Coordinator of the College Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur, Coordinator, Associate Professor Dr. Gurjit Kaur, Dr. Rajwinder Kaur, Dr. Harsimranjit Kaur, Dr. Avneet Kaur along with other staff and students were present.
