Punjab BJP State President Kewal Singh Dhillon has welcomed the BJP’s newly announced national team and expressed confidence that the appointment of Rajya Sabha MP Dr Satish Poonia as Punjab in-charge will further strengthen the party’s organisation at the grassroots level.
Dhillon congratulated B.L. Santosh on his reappointment as National General Secretary (Organisation), saying his extensive organisational experience would benefit BJP workers across the country.
He also highlighted the representation of Punjab in the new national team. Dhillon said the appointment of Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh as in-charge of the National Office was a matter of pride for the Punjab BJP, while former Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal had been given the responsibility of National Vice President.
Welcoming Poonia’s appointment as National General Secretary as well as Punjab in-charge, Dhillon said his strategic understanding and organisational experience would give the Punjab BJP greater strength at the ground level.
Dhillon said the prominent responsibilities entrusted to leaders from Punjab reflected the importance attached to the state by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP’s central leadership.
He said the new national team would further energise the BJP cadre in Punjab and strengthen the party’s efforts to expand its organisational base.
According to Dhillon, the BJP’s focus in Punjab would remain on promoting prosperity, peace and development and taking the welfare-oriented policies and programmes of the Central government to households across the state.
He expressed confidence that the new organisational team would help the BJP reach new milestones in Punjab and conveyed his best wishes to all the newly appointed office-bearers.
Dhillon also thanked the BJP’s central leadership for giving significant responsibilities to leaders associated with Punjab.
