Kathak performance by Khushi Sharma enthralls audience

Kathak performance by Khushi Sharma Class 12th student at Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, Khushi Sharma, gave a Kathak performance at Pracheen Kala Kendra today as part of its Parampara series at M L Koser Indoor Auditorium.

Khushi is a disciple of Dr Amit Gangani and has taken four years of formal education & training in Kathak dance. She qualified Sangeet Bhushan 2nd year at the young age of 12. She has performed on Various reputed stages Like Tagore Theatre, Kalagram Cultural festival, etc.

Khushi had received the first prize in a Kathak dance competition conducted for children of Tri-city at the Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh.

Khushi began the recital with Shlok Kasturi Tilakam followed by Kathak syllables like Thaat, Chakradar tode, Tukre , Paran, Premelu , Chalan, Kavit etc. Dr Amit Gangani accompanied her on Padhant and Tabla, Sh Abhishek Gangani on vocal and harmonium and Sh Manoj on Sitar. Dr Samira Koser compered the stage.
