Junaid Khan starrer ‘Maharaj’ reigns at No.1 on OTT; Ranks Top 10 across 22 countries

Apart from India, the Junaid Khan starrer is also trending across the rest of Asia, the GCC, South America, Africa and North-Western Europe.

Siddharth P. Malhotra’s directorial venture ‘Maharaj’ is making waves on OTT platform. Apart from #1 in India and 4 other countries, the film has secured first spot and has made it to top 10 in 22 countries.

The film, starring debutant Junaid Khan as ‘Karsandas Mulji’ and Jaideep Ahlawat as ‘Jadunath Maharaj’, has captured the audience’s attention with its compelling story and strong social message.

Shalini Pandey portrays an innocent and gullible ‘Kishori’ and Sharvari Wagh plays the feisty ‘Viraaj’.

Maharaj has made great strides in terms of viewership on OTT with Asia and GCC countries taking the biggest slice of the pie as it reigns #1 in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Maldives while entering the top 10 in Bahrain, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

In the African continents, the film holds #1 in Mauritius and also in Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, and Réunion.

In South America, the film is trending in Guadeloupe and Trinidad and Tobago, while in Europe, the film is trending in Luxembourg.

Since its release, ‘Maharaj’ has been widely appreciated by both fans and critics. The latest data from the streaming platform reveals that the film has garnered 5.3 Million views globally from 24th June to 30th June, 2024.

Based on the 1862 court case known as ‘The Maharaj Libel Case’ in Bombay, ‘Maharaj’ has only cemented Siddharth P. Malhotra’s talent in crafting cinema that is not only thought-provoking but also socially relevant.
