JoAnn Thakkarwal has been appointed State General Secretary of Punjab Congress Social Media Cell.
She will be handling charge of Social Media which is a very important wing of the party keeping in view the upcoming elections. She has been actively working in the party for the past almost 10 years. She has been seen actively campaigning in various elections all over the state and even in other states like Rajasthan.
She is said to have been part of election war rooms as well. She is very vocal in her support to the farmers protest and was seen protesting at Jantar Mantar alongside Punjab Congress MPs and MLAs for months at a stretch.
A former captain confidante, she is proving her loyalty to the Congress party. Known to be very active and pushy on ground, Thakkarwal is waiting for the allotment of districts to take on her new role.
She thanked party president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, K.C.Venugopal, Randeep Surjewala, Harish Chaudhry, C.M. Charanjit Channi, PPCC President Navjot Sidhu, Pargat Singh Gen.Secretary incharge, Rohan Gupta, Gaurav Pandhi, Samraat Dhingra from the Social Media Department and the entire Congress high command for entrusting her with the great responsibility of State General Secretary of Social Media Department.
She assured that she will work with dedication and leave no stone unturned towards a win in 2022.
