Making a huge contribution in Punjab government’s war against Covid 19, the Chairman of Jalandhar Improvement Trust Mr. Daljeet Singh Ahluwalia today gave his three month’s salary for the Chief Minister’s Covid 19 Relief Fund.
Handing over the formal letter regarding this to the officers of the Jalandhar Improvement Trust, the Chairman said that Corona Virus was a pandemic which has engulfed the entire world. He said that the Punjab government led by visionary and decisive Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was already combating it in the most efficient manner. Mr. Ahluwalia said that in this grim situation Chief Minister was leaving no stone unturned for providing a healing touch to people on one hand and ensuring their safety and security on the other.
The Chairman said that at a time when the entire state government was making all out efforts to provide succor to people, it was the moral duty of every resident to contribute generously for this noble cause. Mr. Ahluwalia said that realizing the gravity of situation, he has decided to contribute his three month’s salary in the Chief Minister’s Covid 19 Relief Fund. He said that it was a humble effort aimed at making a contribution in the massive efforts being made by the state government to defeat Corona Virus.
Likewise, the Chairman said that in the same manner the officers of Jalandhar Improvement Trust have also came forward for contributing their share to augment efforts of the state government. He said that while the Executive Officer (EO) of the Trust has contributed his one week’s salary for the fund, the other officers and staff has also decided to contribute their one day’s salary for the Chief Minister’s Covid 19 Relief Fund.
