Jalandhar, November 15, 2025 (Yes Punjab News)
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today called upon state government pensioners to make maximum use of the Pensioner Sewa Portal, a digital initiative launched by the Punjab Government to ensure swift and convenient redressal of pension-related concerns. He made this appeal while visiting the Pensioner Sewa Fair organised at the District Treasury Office in Jalandhar.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aggarwal said the portal has been designed to significantly ease the experience of pensioners by enabling them to access a wide range of services related to their pension accounts with a simple click at home. The platform eliminates the need for pensioners to visit government offices or banks, offering a reliable and transparent system for queries and updates.
The Deputy Commissioner noted that the initiative will directly benefit more than 26,000 state pensioners in Jalandhar District. He added that to access the portal, pensioners must complete their eKYC process at the treasury office or their concerned banks, after which they will receive a login ID to use the online services.
Once registered at the portal, users can check detailed information on their pension accounts, download relevant documents, and track service requests from the comfort of their homes.
District Treasury Officer Amarnath, Treasury Officer Harsh Bala, Deepti Gupta, Seema, and other officials welcomed Dr. Aggarwal during his visit and briefed him about the services being showcased at the fair. The Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the efforts of the treasury staff in promoting digital empowerment among pensioners.
