The district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma today gave warm send off to Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr. Kulwant Singh, who has been recently elevated as Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur by the Punjab government.
During a simple but impressive ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner recalled the marvelous services rendered by Mr. Kulwant Singh as Additional Deputy Commissioner in the district.
He said that Mr. Kulwant Singh not only played a pivotal role in smooth and hassle free conduct of peaceful polls in the district but he was also instrumental in implementation of the key schemes of the government like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Ghar Ghar Rozgar, Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna and others besides giving fillip to the Rural development during his stint as Additonal Deputy Commissioner.
Mr. Sharma expressed hope that as new Deputy Commissioner of Ferozepur, the 2012 batch IAS officer would script a new success story.
Meanwhile, in his address the Additional Deputy Commissioner recalled the vital guidance given by the Deputy Commissioner and unstinted cooperation extended to him by all the officers and officials for the smooth conduct of his duty.
In an emotionally surcharged speech Mr. Kulwant Singh said that he was overwhelmed by the several pleasant memories while discharging his duties as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Jalandhar, which would ever remain his treasure.
He said that his formidable strength was the valuable guidance given by the Deputy Commissioner and smooth cooperation and support extended by his staff while rendering services to this coveted office efficaciously to the satisfaction of general public.
Striking a nostalgic note the outgoing Additional Deputy Commissioner said, “My mind is filled with countless memories which I am unable to express in words but these will ever remain afresh on my mind and act as a source of inspiration for me”.
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh and other officers felicitated Mr. Kulwant Singh and wished him a pleasant, prosperous and healthy life ahead.
