Shiromani Akali Dal president Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal said here today that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the power and prestige of the country to unprecedented heights through matchless international diplomacy. Even the UN and countries like US and China listen to him with respect.This speaks of the new status of the country under PM Modi” said Mr Badal.
” The country needs a Prime Minister whom the enemies fear and the international community respects. Mr Modi is the only one who fits the definition” said Mr Badal addressing several election rallies to mobilise support for the Akali. BJP candidate Prof Premier Singh Chandumajra.
Mr Badal lashed out against the Congress govt in the state but added that the “forthcoming Lok Sabha poll will rid Punjab of the inefficient, inaccessible and invisible Chief Minister..”
He said that the Congress was facing an “anger wave” in the state. The Akali leader lashed out against the Congress govt especially the CM for ” their criminal indifference towards farmers who are hit badly by the tardy procurement of wheat. There is an acute shortage of gunny bags in the Mandis resulting in long wait for farmers but there is no one they can turn to for help. The CM Amarinder Singh came to a mandi for a PR photo session but has not been seen after that. The farmers of the state are crying for help but the CM spends his time in leisure and pleasure. The only thing he does for farmers is issue statements for press publicity. “
Mr Badal said that the poll campaign of the dissension-hit Congress in Punjab is in complete disarray. Their leaders are busy pulling one another down.”
Mr Badal said that Captain Amarinder Singh had already seen the writing on the wall and sensing a humiliating defeat , he has already started blaming and threatening his juniors. This is a Clear evidence of fhe frustration and panic that has befallen the ruling party. “
Mr Badal said that led by Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, the SAD BJP alliance in Punjab has become a guarantee of peace and communal harmony in the state.
