A young boy Mridul Gupta, of the city, has brought laurels on Monday after he cleared National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) and stood 9th in the state.
Mr Mridul, who is studying in Innocent Hearts School, got 185 marks. Now he has qualified for the second round.
Mridul’s father Mr Arun Gupta is District System Manager in DC Office, Jalandhar and mother Mrs Rimpal Gupta is District System Manager in Office of Director Land Records, Jalandhar.
A total of 46563 candidates have appeared in NTSE examination and the state topper student in the state has got 190 marks.
