Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organised ‘Begumpura Dialogues – National Seminar 2026’ to commemorate the 650th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji, bringing together distinguished guests and participants for intellectual reflection and meaningful dialogue on equality, human dignity, social justice, inclusivity, religious harmony and social responsibility.
The seminar was graced by Shri Priyank Kanoongo, Member of the National Human Rights Commission, and Dr. Partha Biswas, Member of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, as Chief Guests. Shri Pradeep Joshi, Shri Rajesh Bagha, Shri Vinay Joshi and Shri Satpal attended as Special Guests. Shri Satpal joined the programme virtually from the United Kingdom.
The presence and insights of the distinguished guests enriched discussions on social justice, equality, human dignity and the creation of an inclusive society. Dr. Anup Bowry, Chairman of Innocent Hearts Group, along with senior members of the management, was also present.
The seminar centred on Shri Guru Ravidas Ji’s vision of ‘Begumpura’, which represents an ideal society free from discrimination, inequality, oppression and injustice. The deliberations emphasised the need to build a society in which every individual enjoys equal rights, dignity, freedom, security and mutual respect, regardless of social, religious or economic differences.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, Academic Director, Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, who extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. This was followed by Vande Mataram and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
The event featured special and expert addresses, followed by speeches by the Chief Guests, a felicitation ceremony and a formal vote of thanks.
The speakers highlighted the contemporary relevance of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji’s teachings in addressing social inequality, discrimination and deprivation, while underscoring the importance of upholding human dignity. The concept of ‘Begumpura’ was presented as a progressive social vision that promotes equal opportunities, mutual respect, social harmony, justice and peaceful coexistence.
The seminar concluded as an enriching academic and social initiative, reaffirming the enduring relevance of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji’s philosophy and strengthening the collective commitment to building a just, inclusive, harmonious and equitable society.
