In a significant bureaucratic development, IAS officer KAP Sinha has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Punjab. Sinha, a 1992-batch officer from the Punjab Cadre, will be the 43rd Chief Secretary of the state.
He will be taking over from Anurag Verma, who held the position since July 2, 2023. This leadership change marks an important transition in the state’s administrative machinery, with Sinha set to assume one of the most crucial roles in the Punjab government.
