Taking decisive action against corruption, the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SVB & ACB), Haryana, today conducted a large-scale simultaneous operation across all 7 ranges of the state on the directions of Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini.
In this extensive action, four traps were successfully executed, while one case was presented before the court for judicial consideration. This is being regarded as one of the most organized and effective operations of ACB in recent years. Bureau Chief Ajay Singhal made it clear that this special drive will continue, and no officer or employee involved in corruption will be spared.
Hisar Range — Lineman arrested while accepting ₹27,000 bribe
In the Narnaund area of Hisar district, lineman Jai Prakash was demanding an illegal gratification of ₹35,000 from the complainant for shifting an electricity connection. On receiving the complaint, a trap was laid, and the accused was caught red-handed while accepting ₹27,000.
Rohtak Range — Halka Patwari caught red-handed while accepting ₹2,000 bribe
In the Old Tehsil premises of Sonipat, Halka Patwari Yudhveer Singh was demanding ₹2,000 from the complainant for facilitating the land mutation (intkal). Lady Inspector Usha and her team laid the trap and arrested the accused on the spot while he was taking the bribe.
Faridabad Range — Police Sub-Inspector caught taking ₹1.50 lakh bribe
Sumit Kumar, Police Sub-Inspector at Police Station Dhoj, Faridabad, was demanding ₹1,50,000 from the complainant in exchange for presenting the charge sheet of a case filed against him in the court. Inspector Parveen Kumar’s team conducted a well-coordinated operation and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the entire bribe amount.
Sonipat Range — SHO GRP Sonipat detained while taking ₹5,000
In Sonipat, SHO of GRP, Inspector Vijaypal Singh, was demanding ₹10,000 from the complainant to close a complaint filed against him. Inspector Sachiv Kumar and his team arrested the accused red-handed while accepting ₹5,000.
Simultaneous Operation Across 7 Ranges—Major Success in 4 Ranges
Bureau Chief Ajay Singhal stated that teams were activated across all 7 ranges of Haryana for today’s action. Out of these, traps were successfully executed in 4 ranges, while one case was moved forward for judicial proceedings.
The Bureau Chief said—
“Under the state government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption, this operation will continue. Corrupt officers and employees will not be spared under any circumstances.”
