Haryana Police crack Rs.7 lakh loot case, 5 arrested

With the arrest of five miscreants, Haryana Police has solved Rs 7 lakh loot incident that took place in Kaithal on the intervening night of February 2 and 3.

Giving this information here today, a spokesperson of Haryana Police said that the loot case has been cracked within three days of the incident with the arrest of Gaurav, a resident of Mahadev Colony Kaithal, Praveen alias Sonu and Sandeep, both resident of Haripura, Mohit alias Moni of Malkheri and Ashok (a close friend of complainant), a resident of Khurana road, Kaithal. Police has also recovered Rs 7 lakh cash, car and the vehicle used in crime.

He said that Vishal, a resident of Kurukshetra, had filed a complaint that four persons had looted Rs 7 lakh and his Ritz car at Subhash Nagar, Kaithal when he alongwith his friend Ashok was to go to Delhi for purchase of goods for PVC factory.

Following this, Superintendent of Police, Kaithal, Mr Virender Vij directed the CIA team to investigate and apprehend the culprits involved in the incident. Police team, in the course of investigation arrest all five accused. They were produced before the court which sent them 14 days judicial custody.

Initial investigation revealed that complainant friend Ashok turned out to be the key accused in this case. Ashok confessed that Vishal had blind faith in him due to his close friendship with him for many years, and whenever he went to Delhi to get factory goods, they used to take his friend Gaurav along as a driver. Ashok knew that Vishal whenever visit to Delhi usually had Rs 6-7 lakh in cash, so he planned to rob him with Gaurav.

Cases pertaining to attempt to murder, theft, assault and rape are already registered against other three accused.
