Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya along with his family today expressed his devotion after paying obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib.
While expressing his feelings, the Governor of Haryana, who visited Sri Harmandar Sahib, the center of Sikh faith, said that today’s visit to Amritsar was a lasting memory of his life.
“Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib is a spiritual center for all mankind, from where the Sikh Gurus have conveyed the message of universal communion. The sacred atmosphere here gives peace to humanity while establishing spirituality”, said Dattatreya.
Praising the Sikhs on the occasion, Dattatreya said, “Sikhs have made a great contribution to the defense of the country which cannot be forgotten. I am taking new energy from here and I pray to God that the country and world are saved from the COVID-19 pandemic and for blessing progress.”
After his visit at Sri Harmandar Sahib, Governor Bandaru Dattatreya was received at the information center by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) general secretary Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, member Bhai Ram Singh, assistant secretary S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, manager S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal and Superintendent S. Malkit Singh Beharwal, who honoured him with the Guru’s blessing Siropao (robe of honour), a golden model of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib. The family members and officials present on the occasion were also honored with Siropaos.
Those accompanied Haryana Governor during his visit include tehsildar S. Lakhwinderpal Singh, police officers S. Parminder Singh Bhandal, S. Harpal Singh Randhawa, SGPC information officer S. Harinder Singh Romy, S. Amritpal Singh, S. Sartaj Singh, S. Randhir Singh, S. Jatinderpal Singh and others.
