Punjab Public Works Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO today reviewed the head-wise status of works being undertaken by the Public Works Department (PWD) to strengthen the state’s road infrastructure.
He held a detailed discussion on the activity-wise progress of Link Roads and Plan Roads.Cabinet minister said under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Punjab Government remains steadfastly committed to providing Punjab with the best road network in the country.
Under his visionary leadership, the state government is prioritizing world-class infrastructure development to ensure seamless connectivity, boost economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for every citizen.
The Minister directed that all non-bituminous works be completed in all respects by February 10, 2026. As the season permits, bituminous works should also be started and completed at the earliest.
He emphasized that all efforts must be made to meet the financial and physical targets set by the Government. To avoid last-minute rush at treasuries, contractor bills must be presented by March 20, 2026.
The meeting was attended by Engineer-in-Chief Gagandeep Singh, Chief Engineer Anil Gupta, and other senior PWD officers.
