Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University is going to organise a Dog Show on 15th December 2024. A wide variety of dogs of different breeds from northern India will compete in the event.
Many pet parlours will showcase their pet hardware and grooming skills. Registration will be done on the spot from 8.30 am to 10 am and pet owners have been requested to register early to avoid any inconvenience.
Dr. Ashwani Sharma, HoD Veterinary Medicine said there will be special emphasis on best of the breed, labrador speciality and overall champion of the show. The Fashion Awards for pets with best costumes and many others will be a new and interesting addition.
The names of registered owners will appear in the souvenir and showbook. Attractive prizes and trophies have been earmarked in different categories. A special seminar will be held on the topic” The stray dog could be an ideal pet if cared properly”, to create awareness and end the stray animal menace.
The dog show will be a very good platform where all the stakeholders i.e. clinicians, students, pharmaceuticals, pet food manufacturers, dog breeders and all those who have a passion for these pets will gather and interact with each other. The owners can take advice from experts about their pets and the show will create awareness regarding their wellbeing and importance to the society.
