GADVASU partners with lady entrepreneur Sukhpreet Kaur to launch Cattle Feed Start-ups in Punjab

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana and AS Cattle Feeds, Kotkapura, Faridkot, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on consultancy services for feed formulation.

In an impressive ceremony, S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Speaker of Punjab Legislative Assembly, Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor and university officials witnessed the signing of the agreement by Dr. JPS Gill, Director of Research, and Mrs. Sukhpreet Kaur, young lady entrepreneur.

S. Sandhwan, emphasized the importance of such collaborations in driving national development and ensuring food security.

“This partnership is a testament to our commitment to fostering innovation and bridging the gap between research and industry. It is crucial for our animal sector to benefit from the latest advancements in feed formulation,” he remarked.

Dr. Inderjeet Singh, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “Today’s MOU represents a significant step forward in our mission to apply academic research to real-world challenges.

By transferring technology to young entrepreneurs, we are not only contributing to the betterment of animal husbandry, but also igniting a wave of entrepreneurial spirit among Punjab’s youth to establish new start-ups. By signing this agreement with the young rural background lady, we have taken another step towards our aim of women empowerment.”

Dr. JPS Gill underlined the partnership’s benefits: “Combining our research expertise with AS Cattle Feeds, practical experience will drive innovative feed formulations. This collaboration will lead to breakthroughs in feed efficiency and quality, crucial for translating lab results into tangible improvements on farms.

Mrs. Sukhpreet Kaur, the young lady entrepreneur, said that she is elated to collaborate with Vet Varsity. This MOU is not just a business agreement but a step toward innovation and sustainability in feed production.”

The MOU blends academic research with industry expertise. The agreement includes knowledge sharing, consultancy, and the development of tailored feed formulations, with a focus on continuous evaluation and improvement.
