Fatehgarh Sahib, October 1, 2026 (Gur Kirpal Singh Ashok)
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Fatehgarh Sahib district is nearing completion, with 99 per cent of the exercise completed across its three Assembly constituencies, District Election Officer Dr. Sona Thind said on Thursday.
Thind, an IAS officer, said the election machinery was working to complete the remaining tasks and ensure the process was conducted smoothly, transparently and within the stipulated timeline.
To assist voters, help desks have been set up at the District Administrative Complex in Fatehgarh Sahib, while Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) across the district are also available to address queries and concerns related to the electoral roll revision.
Thind said coordinated efforts were underway with the election machinery to facilitate the completion of the SIR 2026 exercise.
She appealed to electors to cooperate with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and other election officials by providing the required documents and information wherever necessary, enabling the remaining work to be completed on time.
