Shiromani Akali Dal Taksali president Ranjit Singh Brahmpura urged captain government to tighten the noose against liquor Mafia by enforcing strict laws like Dubai so that such scandals can be halted to happen in future. While issuing the statement Ranjit Singh Brahmpura said that more than hundred people have been killed but the chieftain of the liquor mafia has not been nabbed yet.
Quoting from the past he stated that after 10-12 days the case gets dropped and culprits walk around in public freely after committing serious crime but our party will use every means to spice up the criminals and send them behind the bars. Demanding registration of section 302 against the liquor Mafia he said that a high-level enquiry should be held by the honorable High Court Justice.
Former MLA Ravinder Singh Brahmpura alleged that the nefarious nexus of politicians, police and liquor mafia proved to be fatal for precious lives. Suspension of police and other officers is a common practice as these officers will be reinstated after sometime but those innocent lives will never come back.
The guilty officers should be dismissed and collusion of politicians and alcohol Mafia must be exposed who are complicit in this heinous crime for selling deadly drugs. He said the families of the victims should be given government jobs along the compensation of rupees 5 lakh. Congress ministers, MLA’s and other leaders are directly responsible for the scandal in the state, he added.
Further he warned that if the Congress ministers and MLA’s under the patronage of chief minister were not stopped immediately from trading hooch such tragedy will repeat itself in future as there is a huge organised liquor mafia behind distributing deadly Lahan in the state. S Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, S Ravinder Singh Brahmpura and District President Daljit Singh Gill were present on the occasion.
