The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended a clerk from the Education Department stationed in Ambala while accepting a bribe of Rs 55,000 from a complainant. The ACB has also booked another clerk in connection with this case.
The arrest came after Mohinder Pal, a resident of Delhi Road, Hisar, filed a complaint with the ACB, accusing Harish Kumar, a clerk, of demanding a bribe to process his arrears under the ACP scale.
Taking prompt action, the ACB team conducted a raid and caught Harish Kumar red-handed, accepting the bribe of Rs 55,000. The act was witnessed by independent individuals present at the scene.
A case has been registered against the accused at the ACB police station in Ambala, and an ongoing investigation is underway.
The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau is committed to eliminating corruption and taking strict measures against those involved in such unlawful activities. The bureau encourages citizens to report any instances of corruption, assuring complete confidentiality and swift action.
