The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended a clerk from the Education Department stationed in Ambala while accepting a bribe of Rs 55,000 from a complainant. The ACB has also booked another clerk in connection with this case.
The arrest came after Mohinder Pal, a resident of Delhi Road, Hisar, filed a complaint with the ACB, accusing Harish Kumar, a clerk, of demanding a bribe to process his arrears under the ACP scale.
Taking prompt action, the ACB team conducted a raid and caught Harish Kumar red-handed, accepting the bribe of Rs 55,000. The act was witnessed by independent individuals present at the scene.
A case has been registered against the accused at the ACB police station in Ambala, and an ongoing investigation is underway.
