The Election Commission of India has given instructions to transfer three top officials in the state.
ECI has sought panel of 3 officers to replace Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner. The state has been asked to ensure that the DC is transferred outside Jalandhar Parliamentary constituency.
ECI has ordered transfer of Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal IAS.
Likewise instructions have been given to remove Ropar Range ADGP Jaskaran Singh and Border Range DIG Narendra Bhargava.
Notably, Ropar Range ADGP Jaskaran Singh and DIG Border Narinder Bharghav are set to retire from the service in six months.
Earlier on Monday ECI had issued orders for the removal of Home Secretaries in six states namely Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
