In its bid to save environment from degradation, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has decided to provide 20 K thousand saplings of different species of plants to Sangat on New year 1st January 2020.
Disclosing this in a statement here today, the DSGMC President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that the Gurudwara body is committed to work on saving the environment from degradation.
He said that earlier too the body had launched movement to distribute and save samplings in order to save environment. He further disclosed that the new initiative is supported by Hemkunt Foundation which has agreed to provide 20 thousand saplings on new year.
He urged the Sangat to not only be a part of planting these saplings but also to save them from degradation. He said that earlier too the Gurudwara body had banned plastic in its institutions. He said that not only plastic but we are committed to save the environment on water and other resources on pollution issue.
He said that the new move to distribute Boota Prasad (plant saplings) to the Sangat will start at 9.30 AM from Gurudwara Bangla Sahib on January1st, 2020. He urged people from all sections to wholeheartedly participate in this event and take one Boot Prasad (Sapling) from the event at home and safeguard it .
