District and Sessions Judge, Patiala Avtar Singh visited the New District Jail Nabha. During this visit District and Sessions Judge, personally visited each and every barrack of the jail. Ms. Amandeep Kamboj, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala accompanied by him.
In an effort to address the concerns of the inmates, the Session Judge engaged in meaningful conversations with them, especially regarding Nasha Mukt Punjab campaign. They were apprised of their legal rights as well.
Their problems and grievances were heard and addressed. Special emphasis was placed on resolving the grievances and problems faced by the inmates and ensuring adequate health and medical facilities for the inmates. Jail Authorities and staff were directed to take necessary steps in this regard as well.
On this occasion, Ms. Amandeep Kamboj, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala also highlighted the availability of free legal aid for those in need.
She further told that individuals seeking assistance can reach out either in person or via phone at 0175-2306500 to connect with the District Legal Services Authority in Patiala. Additionally, she emphasized the accessibility of the NALSA helpline at 15100 for assistance.
