Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, DIG Rupnagar Range and Mr. Vivek Sheel Soni SSP, SAS Nagar jointly visited various areas of Mohali today to review the security arrangements.
Meanwhile, they also reviewed the security arrangements on Airport Road and roads connecting Mohali with other districts and states.
Elaborating on today’s special checking operation, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, DIG, Rupnagar Range said that the main task of the police is to create confidence in the people about security so that every section of the society can carry out their duties without any fear.
He said that during today’s check, information was gathered about the police force and CCTV cameras installed on all the escape routes from Mohali. He said that the district police under the leadership of SSP Vivek Sheel Soni has been doing exceptional task. He also informed that the number of PCR patrols parties on the main roads of Mohali would be increased in the coming days.
He said that Mohali police would increase the checking of all suspicious vehicles so that no miscreants could pose a threat to law and order situation. “Same kind of action would also be taken in other districts of the Rupnagar range in the coming days to increase the visibility of the police force” added Mr. Bhullar.
