The State Chief Spokesperson of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), MLA and former Cabinet Minister Sardar Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, held a special personal meeting with AAP National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and Punjab Affairs In-charge and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia.
During the meeting, he presented bouquets and welcomed the decision of a Delhi court acquitting them with honor in a case allegedly registered by the CBI on baseless grounds. He extended congratulations on behalf of the AAP Punjab unit.
He stated that the court’s decision stamping the uncompromising honest politics of Shri Kejriwal and Shri Sisodia would not only strengthen the clean governance, large-scale development, employment generation, and public welfare schemes of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, but would also further reinforce the ongoing war against drugs and operations against gangsters in Punjab. He added that the verdict would inject renewed energy and enthusiasm among all leaders and volunteers of the AAP Punjab unit.
Speaking after the meeting, Dhaliwal said that the honorable acquittal of Shri Kejriwal and Shri Sisodia has dealt a severe blow to the BJP, which had allegedly attempted to malign AAP’s honest politics at the national level through a calculated conspiracy.
He criticized the unnecessary remarks made separately by the senior leadership of the Congress, BJP, and Akali Dal, stating that this respectful and historic verdict clearly shows that these opposition parties are rattled after reading the writing on the wall regarding their potential defeat in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
Dhaliwal questioned why court verdicts in favor of senior leaders of other parties—restoring even their Lok Sabha membership or granting relief in various cases—are termed as sweet victories of truth, whereas when cases allegedly framed out of political vendetta against AAP leadership are dismissed, those same verdicts are considered bitter.
He described the decision in favor of Shri Kejriwal and Shri Sisodia as 100 percent pure like refined gold, asserting that truth may be harassed, but it cannot be defeated.
