Advisor, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department and Vice President of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), Deepak Bali, lauded the Jalandhar Premier League organised under the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ drive, calling it a significant step towards steering youth away from drugs and connecting them with sports.
The Advisor was participating in the grand finale of ‘JPL’ and interacting with the players of both the finalist teams.
He said the unique initiative of the Jalandhar Administration would play a crucial role in channelising the energy of youngsters into positive activities and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Encouraging budding cricketers, Bali announced that the PCA would provide professional training to the league’s top-performing players to help them pursue a career in cricket.
Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment to strengthening sports culture at the grassroots level, he said the state is focused on providing world-class sports infrastructure and opportunities to students to nurture talent and produce future champions.
