DCM Young Entrepreneurs School (DCM YES), Ludhiana, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Startup Punjab, under the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Punjab, to strengthen entrepreneurship education and create greater opportunities for student innovators.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Punjab Industry and Commerce Minister Aman Arora by Dr Anirudh Gupta, CEO, DCM Group of Schools, and Jaspreet Singh, IAS, Director of Industries and Commerce, Government of Punjab.
The collaboration seeks to establish stronger links between young innovators at DCM YES and Punjab’s growing startup ecosystem. Under the partnership, students will receive access to mentorship, incubation support, industry connections, networking opportunities, ideation assistance and acceleration support.
The initiative will also provide students with opportunities to interact with entrepreneurs, incubators and other stakeholders in the startup ecosystem. Entrepreneurship-focused programmes, workshops, competitions and innovation initiatives will be organised to help students develop their ideas, obtain expert guidance and explore pathways to turn innovative concepts into ventures.
Dr Anirudh Gupta said entrepreneurship should extend beyond the objective of starting a business and should encourage young people to identify problems, develop solutions and create meaningful impact.
“At YES, we believe that entrepreneurship is not merely about starting a business; it is about developing the courage to identify problems, create solutions and make a meaningful impact,” Gupta said.
He added that the partnership with Startup Punjab would give students access to mentorship, exposure and opportunities to take their ideas beyond the classroom and towards real-world applications.
The MoU further advances DCM YES’s objective of integrating entrepreneurship into education and enabling students to progress from learning and ideation to innovation and incubation.
