Corona Rapid Tests Facility begins in Bathinda, 2 Tests conducted on first day found Negative

Rapid test facility has now been started by the Punjab government at Bathinda District Hospital for quick detection of corona virus. Under this, 2 rapid tests were performed on the first day on Monday. This information was shared by the Deputy Commissioner Mr B. Sri Nivasan.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the government, led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, had decided to conduct rapid tests for early detection of Covid-19 disease, under which the facility is now made available by the government in Bathinda district too. “If we get a quick test report, it can be very helpful to curb the spread of the disease,” he added.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Amrik Singh said that the report of both rapid tests conducted in the district today has come out negative. He further said that except these two rapid tests, the report of 130 samples taken earlier in the district has been received negative while the report of 3 samples taken on Sunday is still awaited. “19 fresh samples are collected on Monday and sent to Patiala for testing,” he added.
