The Indian National Congress has constituted a Screening Committee for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the forthcoming Assembly elections, with immediate effect.
The decision was conveyed by K. C. Venugopal, AICC General Secretary.

- T. S. Singh Deo – Chairperson
- Yashomati Thakur – Member
- G. C. Chandrashekhar – Member
- Anil Kumar Yadav – Member
Party leaders said the committee will play a crucial role in candidate selection and coordination for both Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
