Compromise with quality during construction of development projects not acceptable: Bram Shankar

The Minister of Revenue and Water Supply and Sanitation, Punjab, Mr. Bram Shankar today hold a meeting with officers of Civil and Police administration regarding the review of ongoing development works and various welfare schemes in the district at the District Administrative Complex.

The cabinet minister said that after the coming of Aam Aadmi Party’s government in Punjab, districts have been assigned to every Minister so that they can get the ongoing development projects completed in stipulated time with the help of district administration and local MLAs.

At the onset of the meeting Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amit Talwar gave detailed Presentation about the development projects and various schemes of the district.

During the meeting the Minister said that the People of Punjab have handed over power to Aam Aadmi Party with the belief that we will ensure overall development of Punjab and provide transparent, corruption free administration in government offices. Let’s strive that the expectations of the people are fulfilled at the ground level. Mohali is becoming a model city of the state where people from different areas of Punjab are coming and living in large numbers.

The administrative authorities should pay attention to provide all kind of basic amenities to the citizens. At the same time work in progress should be completed in time and if due to any reason the deadline of the project has been pushed forward, then it should be completed quickly so that the cost of the project does not increase. Any kind of compromise with the quality of the project will not be tolerated.

Mr. Bram Shankar instructed the civil and police officials of the district that according to the vision of CM S. Bhagwant Singh Maan the benefits of the employment and other social welfare scheme should reach every household and special attention should be paid to making the youth skilled.

On this occasion, the cabinet minister also instructed the officials of the district that the MLA of the constituency should be taken along while visiting any project.

Meanwhile, the MLA of the Assembly Constituency SAS Nagar Mr. Kulwant Singh brought to the attention of the cabinet minister the problems related to his constituency.

In an informal conversation with journalists before the meeting, Mr. Brahm Shankar said It is the main agenda of the CM S. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government that the benefit of government services should reach every common man.

Answering the questions regarding the online sale of Stamp Papers, Mr. Brahm Shankar said that the online system is the need of the hour. Eradication of corruption in the Tehsil complexes is the main objective. He said that earlier printed Astams were also found to be fake and people had to face a lot of difficulties to get Astam. Now with the online system Rather, people will be able to get Astam without any trouble.

He said that the present government has eliminated corruption in the Tehsils in a very short period of time and the government’s campaign in this direction will continue uninterrupted. He also said that special efforts are being made for sewage and long-pending water drainage arrangements, water treatment of factories, drainage of rain water.

On this occasion, SSP Mr. Vivek Sheel Soni, Chief Administrator GAMADA Mr. Amandeep Bansal, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mohali Mrs. Navjot Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Ms. Amaninder Kaur, ADC (Urban Development) Mrs. Pooja S. Grewal, SDM SAS Nagar. Mrs. Sarabjit Kaur SDM Derabassi Mr. Himanshu Gupta SDM Kharar Mr. Ravinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Mr. Tarsem Chand, Civil Surgeon Dr. Adarshpal Kaur and all senior officials of the district administration were present.
