Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann to dedicate Nishan-e-Inquilab Plaza on December 4, 2024, at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, said the Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain, here, today.
Taking stock of the ongoing preparations the Deputy Commissioner said that this Plaza has a 30 feet high statue of legendary freedom fighter and hero of the Nation, Sardar Bhagat Singh as a main attraction that will make the people aware of the supreme sacrifices made for the independence struggle of the country.
While directing the PWD and other line departments to give all the finishing touches to the plaza to make it prepare for the inauguration, she said that there should be proper coordination between all the departments and all have to work in tandem to make the event a grand success without causing hindrance to anyone.
She said that the arrival and departure of the residents will not suffer due to the event and special attention has been given to keeping the area free of any traffic obstruction.
ADC Viraj S Tidke and Sonam Chaudhary, Commissioner MC T Benith, ACA GMADA Amarinder Singh Tiwana, SDM Mohali Damandeep Kaur, SP (Traffic) H S Mann, Executive Engineers PWD, Shivpreet Singh and S S Bhullar, Executive Engineer Horticulture GMADA Mandeep Singh Lachowal and other senior functionaries were present during the visit of Deputy Commissioner.
