Member of Parliament from Chandigarh and former Union Minister Manish Tewari inaugurated an open-air gym set up in Village Behlana with funds released under the MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) Scheme, and dedicated it to the residents of the area. On the occasion, Chandigarh Congress President H.S. Lucky and several other prominent local personalities were also present.
Addressing the gathering, MP Manish Tewari said that the open-air gym would play an important role in helping people maintain their health. He emphasized that a healthy individual is better equipped to fulfil responsibilities towards family and society. He added that this open-air gym would make a meaningful contribution towards achieving this objective. He further assured that there would be no shortage of funds for the overall development of the city.
Meanwhile, Chandigarh Congress President H.S. Lucky expressed his gratitude to MP Tewari for continuously releasing grants from his parliamentary quota to address the basic needs of the people.
Among others present on the occasion were Malkit Singh Goldy, Lambardar Sita, Narinder Singh, Dr. Russell, Shyam Lal, Sunder Lal, Trilok Singh, Harjit Kumar, Surinder Chhinda, Pradeep Singh, Captan Singh, and Kirpanand Thakur.
