Dr. Vikramjit Singh, MP – Rajya Sabha from Punjab today demanded in the Parliament a legislation against exploitation of innocent people through superstitions, black magic and miracles.
Dr. Vikramjit said it is deeply concerning that millions are falling victims of fraudulent practices of so-called miracles which are used to promote religious conversions.
Dr. Vikramjit added that Maharashtra government have already passed a legislation against black magic and superstitions, and it is a punishable offence. He reiterated that Parliament must pass a law to criminalize these sinister practices nationally luring innocent people to religious conversions.
