Brahm Mohindra gives nod to give 12 kanal land to Health Dept for Hospital & Trauma Centre

In a rare gesture of goodwill, Mr. Brahm Mohindra accorded its permission to give 12 kanal land of Local Bodies Department in Dune Ke village in Moga district to the Health Department free of cost to construct 50 bedded Hospital and Trauma Centre. The decision was taken for the sole intent of providing quality health services to the backward area of the state.

It was disclosed by an official spokesperson of the Local Bodies Department. He said that keeping in view the utmost public priority of providing the health services to this backward areas the minister has given go ahead to give this prime land alongside GT road free of cost to the Health Department.

Divulging more on this issue the spokesperson said that the Municipal Corporation, Moga on receipt of memorandum to provide land for hospital and trauma centre had constituted a committee to select the land.

He said committee had selected a stretch of 12 kanal land in Dene Ke village out of which 5 kanal was proposed to be given for 50 bedded Aayush Hospital and 7 kanal for Trauma centre. He said that earlier the Municipal Corporation abiding by Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 put up proposal to sell this land on collector rate.

The spokesperson said that Dr. Harjot Kanwal, MLA Moga then approached Mr. Brahm Mohindra, Local Bodies Minister and apprised him the urgency of hospital and trauma center in this area. He urged the the Minister to give this land free of cost.

Local Bodies Minister readily agreed to the demand of the MLA as the matter was pertaining to the quality health services to the backward area of the state and he ordered to provide this prime land free of cost to the health department.
