BJP’s Tarun Chugh slams Sidhu for using derogatory language for Punjab police personnel

Chandigarh, Dec 28, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today slammed Punjab PCC president Navjot Sidhu for using derogatory language for the Punjab police personnel.

The controversy erupted after Navjot Sidhu, at a recent rally in Sultanpur Lodhi while pointing towards sitting MLA Navtej Singh Cheema, said he can “make a ‘thanedar’ (policeman) wet his pants”.

Sidhu repeated the remark at a rally in Batala on Sunday while praising local leader Ashwani Sekhri who was standing by his side.

Taking strong exception to Sidhu’s remarks Chugh said it was shameful on the part of Sidhu to insult the police force which has been protecting the borders and fighting militancy in the state.

Recalling how Sidhu has been singing praise for the Pakistan Army Chugh said it is time Sidhu made his credentials clear as an Indian citizen. “He has no business to insult the Punjab police and praise the Pakistan Army”, Chugh said demanding that the Congress high command should take strict disciplinary action against him.

Chugh said by insulting police personnel publicly Sidhu had once again exposed his shallow and non-serious personality which has become a liability for Punjab now.
