BJP drops Sampla, announces candidates for Chandigarh, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur

New Delhi, April 23, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced candidates for Chandigarh, Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur parliamentary constituencies.

Sitting Hoshiarpur MP and Union Minister Vijay Sampla has been dropped. The ticket has been allotted to Phagwara MLA Som Parkash.

As expected Sunny Deol has been named for Gurdaspur seat to take on Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar. Sunny Deol had joined BJP today itself in New Delhi.
Sitting Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher has been able to retain her seat. She has been again named party candidate to take on former Union Minister and Congress nominee Pawan Bansal.
