Bhagwant Mann Hails Court Verdict Acquitting Kejriwal, Sisodia in Delhi Excise Policy Case

Chandigarh, January 27, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has welcomed the recent verdict of the Rouse Avenue Court acquitting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Delhi Excise Policy case.

In a message posted on social media platform X, Mann described the court’s decision as a triumph of truth. He stated that the judgment had brought the facts before the public and reaffirmed faith in the judicial process.

“Truth Always Wins,” Says Mann

Quoting the phrase “Truth always prevails,” the Punjab Chief Minister said the acquittal of Kejriwal and Sisodia in the alleged liquor policy case had exposed the reality behind the accusations. He added that with time, the truth in other related matters would also come to light.

The message concluded with the slogan “Inquilab Zindabad,” reflecting the party’s longstanding political expression.

Court Verdict Brings Major Relief to AAP Leadership

The Rouse Avenue Court had acquitted Kejriwal, Sisodia, and 21 other accused in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case related to alleged irregularities in the 2022 Delhi Excise Policy.

Special Judge Jitendra Singh ruled that no prima facie evidence or criminal conspiracy was established against the accused and declined to frame charges. The court observed that the prosecution failed to substantiate its allegations with sufficient material evidence.

The verdict has been seen as a significant legal relief for the AAP leadership, which had been under political and legal scrutiny since the case was registered in 2022.

Political Significance

Bhagwant Mann’s statement underscores the political importance of the verdict for the Aam Aadmi Party, particularly as both Kejriwal and Sisodia hold prominent positions within the party structure.

The acquittal may have broader political implications ahead of future elections, as the party seeks to frame the judgment as validation of its leadership.

Further reactions from political leaders across parties are expected as the implications of the court’s decision continue to unfold.
