Former chief minister of Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal today expressed their heartfelt condolences at the sudden demise of Mrs Amarpal Kaur, wife of SGPC chief Jathedar Gobind Singh Longowal following a brief illness at Sangrur. She was 60 years old.
In a condolence message here, the former CM S. Badal said that words fall short to express the tragedy when someone’s life partner suddenly leaves for heavenly abode at such an early age. “She was a humble woman who was always fond of helping the needy and the downtrodden,” said the SAD patron. He expressed his condolences towards the bereaved family and prayed to the almighty to give them the strength to bear such a grievous loss.
In another message, the SAD President said that Bibi Amarpal Kaur will always be remembered for her contribution in mitigating the sufferings of the abandoned. He said that he fully shared Jathedar Longowal’s grief and sorrow in this difficult moment and prayed for the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
