Amritsar, July 2, 2024 (Yes Punjab News)

MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, after winning for the third time from Amritsar, has started working on making Guru Nagri a world class city.

Under which, today he met Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu in Delhi and discussed about the expansion of Amritsar airport and new flights.

During the meeting of MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla with Ram Mohan, a discussion was held about the flight from Sri Amritsar Sahib to Sri Nanded Sahib. During this, the Guwahati flight was discussed to provide convenience to the army personnel.

Aujla said that the army personnel reach their destination after traveling for three days by train, whereas if flights start from Amritsar to Guwahati, it will be very convenient for them.

At the same time, flights should also start from Amritsar to Dharamshala in terms of tourism. This will save a lot of time for the tourists coming from abroad who travel for several hours by car to reach Dharamshala.

Along with this, increasing connectivity with Amritsar was discussed in detail. During the meeting, Gurjeet Singh Aujla also talked about the efforts of Thai Airways to start flights from Amritsar and also stressed on increasing other international flights.

Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that there was also a discussion about starting a direct flight from Amritsar to Heathrow.

This will be very convenient for the students. If a direct flight starts from Amritsar to Heathrow, then the students will not have to go to Delhi first and from there, Canada and Toronto can also be easily reached through a connecting flight. This will save time and the tourism sector in Amritsar will also get a boost.

The expansion of these flights will benefit not only the tourists but also the residents of Amritsar. The arrival of tourists will increase business and direct flights will attract more and more tourists.

Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that during the meeting, the expansion of Amritsar airport and its infrastructure was also discussed so that first class facilities could be provided to the visiting passengers so that they keep flying from Amritsar again and again.
