Dr. Ajay Gupta, MLA from the Central Assembly constituency, met with Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convener Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi today.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the ongoing development projects in Amritsar city and the major development projects to be launched in the coming days. MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta stated that he regularly meets with Arvind Kejriwal, as he has done in the past.
He explained that they discuss the major problems facing Amritsar city, and particularly the Central Assembly constituency, and work towards finding solutions.
He said that during today’s meeting, they discussed the remaining issues related to the Amritsar Central Assembly constituency. He added that they also discussed the city’s sanitation system. He said that the sanitation system is improving, and it will be even better within the next month.He said that by February of next year, there would be no garbage visible on any street in the city.
MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta said that discussions were held regarding increasing the capacity of the Khappar Kheri Sewage Treatment Plant. He said that the tendering process for increasing the capacity of this sewage treatment plant will begin in the coming days.
Special schemes are being implemented in the Walled City to improve sanitation, security, development, and religious tourism. Major development projects for the Walled City are also going to be launched in the coming days. He said that today’s meeting was very productive.
