Mohali’s AAP MLA Kulwant Singh has thanked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema. MLA Kulwant Singh had proposed some demands for the development of Mohali in the budget session which have been approved in the budget session today.
MLA Kulwant Singh had made some demands to the government during the session, including setting up Punjab Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences at SAS Nagar, setting up a Fintech City near Mohali. It is proposed to provide all facilities to encourage private participation in areas like fintech, block-chain technology and artificial intelligence, to set up CCTV networks across the state for the protection of the general public.
During the current financial year CCTV cameras would be installed at Mohali and Punjab Police Mahila Mitra Kendra at a cost of Rs. 5 crores.
An amount of Rs.10 crore has been earmarked for the construction of the jail during the current financial year. B.R. Ambedkar Bhawan to be set up, Jal Bhawan to be constructed at SAS Nagar at a cost of Rs.10 crores during the current financial year to strengthen the repair and maintenance of infrastructure of water supply schemes. Meanwhile, the government is committed to set up an old age home for ex-servicemen at SAS Nagar.
As per information, all these demands have been made to the government after consulting the people of the area sharing all this information, MLA Kulwant Singh expressed happiness that his government is living up to the expectations of the people.
MLA Kulwant Singh said that the facilities given in today’s budget for Mohali and the whole of Punjab were due to the love for Punjab in the hearts of party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He said that he is thankful to the entire leadership of the party and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema for the appointment.
